ABSTRACT:
This paper explores the emerging role of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana's political landscape as the state approaches the 2029 elections. Traditionally dominated by regional parties such as the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Telangana's political dynamics are witnessing a shift with BJP’s increasing electoral presence and organizational expansion. The study analyzes BJP’s strategic efforts to capitalize on governance, development, and national security issues to broaden its voter base in Telangana. It also examines the party’s grassroots strengthening initiatives and alliance considerations in the face of stiff competition from established regional players. By assessing electoral trends, party strategies, and socio-political factors, the paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of BJP’s potential impact on Telangana politics leading up to 2029. The findings offer insights into the evolving multipolar contest and the implications for Telangana’s political future.
